Dashboard & Best Practices

Proposed guidance for authorized staff reviewing the administrative dashboard and working safely.

Proposed documentation scope — this capability and its workflows require product-owner confirmation. This page does not assert that the feature is available.

Overview

This page is for authorized business staff using the administrative dashboard. Dashboard metrics, alerts, shortcuts, and available actions vary by release and account and must be confirmed before publication.

Dashboard information

The current documentation proposes possible summaries such as order activity, recent orders, product performance, stock information, and pending work. Treat these as examples to verify, not as a confirmed list of dashboard tiles.

Before interpreting a metric, confirm its time period, filters, scope, and definition. Use the relevant source record or report to investigate unexpected values; do not treat a summary as a complete financial or inventory reconciliation unless its documented purpose confirms that.

  • Confirm the correct store and date range before reviewing records.
  • Check the source record before acting on a summary or alert.
  • Perform only actions allowed by your assigned role.
  • Verify the result after a change and follow the approved escalation process if information appears inconsistent.
  • Do not include passwords, access tokens, or unnecessary customer details in support requests.

Access, interface, and workflows

Add the verified dashboard navigation path, visible controls, supported tasks, and role requirements after review of the released Admin Portal.

See Orders and Sales Reports & Analytics for related guidance when those capabilities are confirmed.
